The Great Personal Computer Museum Papercraft Collection by Rocky Berger

Rocky Bergen is a Canadian graphic designer with over 20 years of experience in the design industry. 

During this period he improved his skills in the areas of graphic and packaging design, motion graphics, illustration, advertising, pre-press, marketing and e-learning. 

Luckily for us, he also used his talent to create this incredible and valuable series of papercrafts that emulate in miniature several iconic personal computers, some video game consoles and even a boom box. 

They have all been published individually here on the blog in recent years, but now they have been brought together on a single page. 

About this collection, Mr. Bergen said: - "Construct the computer from your childhood or build an entire computer museum at home with these paper models, free to download and share. 

Print, Cut, Score, Fold and Glue. Due to popular demand, this entire collection can now be downloaded from the Internet Archive. If you appreciate my work consider buying me a coffee."

Durante esse período ele aperfeiçoou-se nas áreas de design gráfico e de embalagem, motion graphics, ilustração, publicidade, pré-impressão, marketing e e-learning.

Para nossa sorte ele também utilizou seu talento para criar essa incrível e valiosa série de papercrafts que emulam em miniatura vários computadores pessoais icônicos, alguns consoles de videogames e até mesmo uma boom box.

Male Meerkat Miniature Paper Model - by Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart

Occupying one sheet of paper, this miniature male Meerkat was created by Japanese designer Katsuyuki Shiga Pinoart, commissioned by Canon's website. 

This paper model is part of the Real Animals Series, and on the website, it's stated to represent a male Meerkat sitting, implying that there might be a female version and perhaps a chick version in different poses. 

If you're using this papercraft for a school project, here are some basic information and interesting facts that might be useful: 

Meerkats, also known as suricates, are small mammals of the mongoose family, native to the southern region of Africa. 

They are known for living in highly organized social groups called "gangs" or "colonies," where each member plays a specific role in the group's survival. 

These animals are famous for their upright and curious posture, as well as their vigilance against predators. 

Meerkats have a highly developed sentinel system, where some group members take turns standing guard while others search for food. 

These sentinels perch on elevated points like burrows or rocks, alerting the group to potential predators such as birds of prey or snakes. 

Tasks within a meerkat colony are efficiently distributed. Some individuals handle group protection, while others forage for food, and there are even designated meerkats for caring for the young. 

Surprisingly, meerkats have complex social relationships and even greeting rituals. They engage in behaviors like mutual grooming to reinforce social bonds within the colony.

Este modelo de papel faz parte da Série Animais Reais e no site é dito que ele representa um Suricato macho sentado, dando a entender que virá uma versão fêmea e talvez uma versão filhote em diferentes poses.

Se você for usar este papercraft em um trabalho escolar, seguem abaixo algumas informações básicas e algumas curiosidades que podem lhe ser úteis: 

O suricato, também conhecido como "meerkat", é um pequeno mamífero da família dos suricatídeos, nativo da região sul da África. 

Eles são conhecidos por viverem em grupos sociais altamente organizados, chamados de "gangues" ou "colônias", onde cada membro desempenha um papel específico na sobrevivência do grupo. 

Esses animais são famosos por sua postura ereta e curiosa, além de sua capacidade de vigilância contra predadores. 

Os suricatos têm um sistema de sentinelas altamente desenvolvido, onde alguns membros do grupo se revezam para ficar de guarda enquanto os outros buscam por comida. 

Esses sentinelas ficam em pontos elevados, como tocas ou pedras, alertando o grupo sobre a presença de predadores em potencial, como aves de rapina ou cobras. 

As tarefas dentro de uma colônia de suricatos são distribuídas de forma eficiente. Alguns indivíduos cuidam da proteção do grupo, enquanto outros procuram por alimentos, e há até mesmo suricatos designados para cuidar dos filhotes. 

Surpreendentemente, os suricatos têm relações sociais complexas e até mesmo rituais de cumprimento. Eles se envolvem em comportamentos como se lamberem mutuamente para reforçar os laços sociais dentro da colônia.

It's known for its ability to run quickly and for having a varied diet, which includes plants and small animals.

Ostrich eggs are the largest among all living birds, weighing up to 1.4 kg and having the capacity equivalent to 24 chicken eggs. 

Despite having large and strong wings, ostriches cannot fly. However, their wings are used for balance and communication during mating.

O avestruz é a maior ave do mundo e é nativo da África. 

Ele é conhecido por sua habilidade de correr rapidamente e por ter uma dieta variada, que inclui desde plantas até pequenos animais. 

Eles podem correr a uma velocidade de até 70 km/h, tornando-os os pássaros mais rápidos em terra. 

Os ovos de avestruz são os maiores entre todas as aves vivas, podendo pesar até 1,4 kg e ter capacidade equivalente a 24 ovos de galinha. 

Apesar de suas asas serem grandes e fortes, os avestruzes não conseguem voar. No entanto, suas asas são usadas para equilíbrio e comunicação durante o acasalamento.

You will find everything from miniatures of the iconic Sega consoles that helped revolutionize the world of video games to masks, decorative objects, the famous Crazy Taxi taxi and much more. 

I'm not sure if I found this website in the great thread "Web Page with Collection of Paper Model Sites" created by my friend John Wagenseil, from Paper Modelers forum, but even if it wasn't there, it's always good to remember that this thread is amazing and full of rare papercrafts, which are really hard to find. 

I'll leave the link to John's thread at the end of this post along with the link to Sega's papercrafts.

Eu não tenho certeza se achei esse website na ótima thread "Web Page with Collection of Paper Model Sites" criada por meu amigo John Wagenseil, do forum Paper Modelers, mas mesmo que não tenha sido lá, sempre é bom lembrar que essa thread é incrível e cheia de papercrafts raros, realmente difíceis de achar.
